New company offers alternative way
26 June 2003

Newly formed IBP Cash Management Systems Ltd was launched recently in a bid to offer customers a choice.

The company, a 50/50 partnership between ISO 9000 registered IBP International and cash management systems expert Neil Rollerson, has been set up to provide an alternative source of anti hold-up devices for organisations handling cash.

“We were encouraged to form the new company by end users,” said Neil, who is based in Yorkshire.

“I have known Digby Ram, Managing Director of IBP International, for some time and we felt there was an opportunity here to bring together IBP’s installation ‘roll-out’ management skills with the technical know-how – particularly, since there were very few serious suppliers of cash management units in the UK.

“CMUs have been popular with banks, building societies and post offices for 10 years but the choice of product is very limited.”

IBP’s relationship with Conforti, Italy’s leading safe manufacturer, led to the adaptation of a competitively priced CMU to suit the criteria the UK market was looking for and IBP Cash Management Systems now imports, sells and installs the equipment.

Features of the CMU, called RoboCash, include EN 1143-1 attack-resistant casing, time-delayed access, self-checking, event logging, cash sensing and capacity for up to 4000 banknotes in 20 compartments. The multi-user feature gives end-users the option to operate a single machine up to a virtual four.

“It is very easy to use which benefits training and staff acceptance,” said Neil. “It’s an excellent CMU which offers substantial savings over similar products on the market. Three blue chip organisations have already installed RoboCash as part of their security armoury.”
