Smart Approach to CIT makes its mark at IBP Robbery Symposium
24 September 2003

IBP International, installer of the Axytrans ‘Smart’ CIT System, has received considerable interest following a demonstration of the end-to-end system during its annual Robbery Symposium.

Axytrans’ French-based Denis Pierron demonstrated the advantages of a system that is widely used throughout France and Belgium and is being increasingly deployed in Italy and Germany.

The system removes all responsibility from the CIT guard who has no access to the cash. This makes robbery or kidnap a worthless exercise and improves guards’ health and safety as never before.

The end-to-end programmable CIT cassette allows cash to be transported from cash centre to client in a container that can only be opened by an authorised person at its destination. Any attempt to tamper with the cassette will instantaneously trigger the release of an indelible dye. As Denis demonstrated to more than 60 senior managers of financial institutions, retail chains and cash-in-transit companies who were present – every bank-note is stained.

Tested by independent laboratories (to BSI PAS 40 standards) the stain covers more than 20% of each side of each note and cannot be washed out.
