IBP International won the IBP-Flying Squad Challenge Yacht Trophy for the second year running beating rivals ADT High Security Group. IBP’s boat, led by Sales and Marketing Director Neil Chrismas, took the trophy on aggregate after finishing second in the opening race on the Solent and first in the second race. His winning team included Len Clay, from the Post Office, David Taylor, of the Portman Building Society, Bob Haddon, of Stars Newsagents and Bob Haward from IBP Security Support. The race was fought in light airs under a clear, blue sky and involved three boats from IBP and three from ADT. The racing provided an enjoyable climax to IBP International’s Robbery Symposium and Open Day at the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club, which was attended by representatives from five police forces and over 60 senior managers of financial institutions, retail chains and cash-in-transit companies.
