IBP International has scored a hat-trick
14 November 2003

The Surrey-based security specialists have struck gold for the third successive year in the Post Office First Class Supplier Awards.

IBP received Gold Accreditation in the Operational Products category and are the only security company to have won a gold award three years in succession.

Neil Chrismas, IBP’s sales and marketing director, said: “Naturally we are delighted to have been recognised yet again. As suppliers we are assessed on our performance throughout the year in terms of availability, quality, service, cost and innovation. The award is a credit to the whole IBP team.

“Our Smokenote™ Robbery Control Systems are installed in more than 2,500 Post Office branches throughout the UK and it is good to know that our clients are extremely happy with the service we provide.”

Smokenote™, which has also been installed in a number of High Street banks, building societies and retail outlets across the UK, acts as a deterrent by releasing a highly visible red smoke when a robbery is being committed, staining the cash and the criminal. The philosophy is that of deterring criminals from committing a robbery by rendering the spoils unusable and raising the risk of arrest.
