IBP International awarded Gold Accreditation in 2002 Post Office First Class Supplier Awards
11 November 2002

IBP International completed a golden double recently when they picked up a national award for the second year running.

The Surrey-based company was awarded Gold Accreditation in the Operational Products category of the 2002 Post Office First Class Supplier Awards.

IBP has worked with the Post Office since 1997 when the first of its Smoke-note Raid Control Systems was installed. Now, more than 2,250 Post Office branches throughout the UK have Smoke-note packs that work as a deterrent, releasing a highly visible red smoke when a robbery is being committed, staining the cash and the criminal.

Neil Chrismas, IBP’s sales and marketing director, said: “We are thrilled to receive another gold award from the Post Office. In our category, suppliers are assessed on their performance throughout the year in terms of availability, quality, service, cost and innovation. It is very pleasing to achieve Gold Accreditation for the second year – a credit to all the IBP team.”

IBP, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, works with a wide range of clients to reduce their raid rates. The Smoke-note™ Robbery Control Systems have been installed in retail outlets across the UK and the company also works with major financial institutions and multiple retailers. Although Smoke-notes cannot claim to be solely responsible for all raid reductions, many of IBP’s clients have seen a drop of over 90% in raids against their branches since installing these systems.
