IBP Launch Focus on Robbery Symposium 2009

Eleven first-rate speakers have been confirmed so far for IBP-Group’s eighth annual Focus on Robbery™ Partnership Symposium to be held on 10 and 11 September 2009.

The Symposium this year is focusing on the impact of the credit crunch and will include presentations with the focus on Crime in Crisis. These will include case studies and presentations from experts in their field from the retail, cash-in-transit, ATM, banking and academic world.

The speakers will include Tim White, Head of Security for Tesco Financial Services; John Pearse, Forensic Psychologist; Graham Sunderland, former Assistant Chief Constable Cumbria Police; John Birkenshaw, Manager, Safer Leeds; Stephen Guage, on behalf of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust; Steven Cole, Senior Vice President, Marsh; Peter Camilletti, Barrister (Non-Practising) and Security Advisor, Total; Adam Miller, Director of Risk, G4S Cash Services; Linda Reakes, Loss Prevention Controller, East of England Co-operative Society; Mechthild Schlitz, National Police Crime Prevention Contact for Bank Protection.

The Focus on Robbery™ Partnership is a joint not-for-profit initiative formed in 2004 by IBP Group to harness expertise from every discipline that has an interest in understanding the reasons for criminal behaviour, analysing the effectiveness of current reduction measures and reducing violent crime. The Symposium is an important part of the overall work of the partnership, which has produced many avenues of continued research benefiting those affected by robbery.
